Cleaner FAQ

What to do for the $70.00 or $82.50 charge

Broomie has partnered with both Accommod8u and KW4Rent properties. We are providing them with a base clean of shared spaces for a set price of either $70.00 or $82.50. So when you see a set price and no information proceeding it, it means that they have booked a cleaning for the kitchen, living/dining room, hallways, and bathrooms. You will be notified if bedrooms, windows and appliances are booked.

Hours of Operation

Our hours of operation are between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. everyday of the week.

In what cities is Broomie available?

Currently Broomie is available in Kitchener, Waterloo. With your support we will expand our operations as soon as we can.

What cleaning supplies do I need bring?

Customers expect their cleaners to bring all the necessary cleaning supplies with them.  The top cleaners will typically bring:

  • Paper towel, rags and/or a regular towel
  • Multi-purpose cleaner
  • Wood cleaner
  • Tile and tub cleaner
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Glass cleaning solution
  • Floor cleaner
  • A floor cleaning tool
  • A vacuum
  • A mop and bucket

However, we do provide our customers with the option to use their vacuum. This will show up in your confirmation email.

If you need to purchase these supplies, they can be found at such retailers as:

  • Homedepot
  • Walmart
  • Home Hardware
  • Real Canadian Super Store
  • Canadian Tire
What type of services would I be doing?

There are a number of different services that you will be doing at any given time. Every household is different, but you will be notified on what is being cleaned prior to your visit. The list of services provided and how they will be cleaned can be found at the Services section.

How are jobs scheduled?

You provide us with your schedule, which is uploaded into our system. Our booking process pools our cleaners and customers book based on combined availability. When you are booked, you will receive a confirmation email, outlining what services the customer has asked for with the contact information and home address. You may receive an email asking how the job went, which will help us address any questions or concerns and better serve our customers and employees.

What should I wear?

We are working on a uniform, but for now we encourage to look clean and professional.

What if my schedule has changed?

If your schedule has changed, notify Broomie support at info@broomie.ca as soon as possible and we will update your schedule.

 

What if I finish early?

Our services have an estimated completion time. We have determined these times based on average cleaning times for each room and or appliance. If you have completed the job to its full extent in a shorter then expected time, do a final check to ensure everything is complete, and you can leave.

Can I bring a friend with me to a job?

Only Broomie cleaners are allowed on the premises for cleaning jobs.

 

How much will I be getting paid?

Our payment structure is based on an internal rating system. You can make between $12.00 to $18.00 an hour plus bonuses depending on the feedback we receive from customers. The pay will be rounded to the nearest quarter of an hour.

When do I get paid?

Bi-weekly on Mondays

Do I get tips?

Tips are completely under the discretion of our customers.
